Get answers to common questions about MLD + Wood Therapy - 60 min.

The therapist uses gentle manual lymphatic strokes to move lymph fluid toward drainage points, while wood tools enhance mobilization of trapped fluid and reduce local inflammation, helping the body eliminate toxins and lessen visible bloating within days.

MLD with wood therapy is generally safe, but not appropriate for some conditions. We screen for active infections, blood clots, uncontrolled hypertension, or pregnancy complications and customize or defer treatment as needed for your safety.

Many clients notice reduced swelling and smoother contours after a single session, while optimal results often require a series. Frequency depends on goals, with weekly or biweekly treatments commonly recommended for sustained improvement.

Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours, and apply gentle movement to encourage lymph flow. We may recommend dry brushing, compression garments, or follow-up sessions depending on your needs.

MLD can complement clinical lymphedema care, reducing discomfort and fluid buildup when applied by trained practitioners. However, severe or complex lymphedema requires medical oversight and an individualized plan in coordination with your healthcare provider.

Your session begins with a consultation and gentle MLD to stimulate drainage, followed by targeted wood therapy to sculpt areas of concern. Treatment is relaxing with light to moderate pressure; therapists adjust techniques to your comfort and goals.
