Yes. The treatment is gentle and tailored for first-time clients. We screen medical history, adjust pressure and tool intensity, and monitor comfort throughout. Expect minimal discomfort; notify your therapist of any concerns. Hydration before and after enhances results.

This hybrid focuses on lymph flow and sculpting rather than muscle release. Manual lymphatic moves gently direct fluid while wood therapy reaches deeper fascia to encourage drainage and contouring. It’s less aggressive than deep tissue yet delivers targeted detoxification and visible shaping.

Your therapist begins with gentle manual lymphatic drainage to open key nodes, then uses wooden tools to sculpt and stimulate deeper tissues. Sessions include rhythmic strokes, light pressure, and breaks for comfort. Many clients feel reduced bloating and increased lightness by the end.

Some medical conditions—active infection, congestive heart failure, deep vein thrombosis, uncontrolled blood pressure, or recent surgery—make MLD + Wood Therapy unsuitable. Always complete our health form and consult your physician if you have complex medical history. Therapists will adapt or decline treatment for safety.

For best and lasting results, we recommend a series of 3–6 sessions spaced one to two weeks apart, then maintenance monthly. Frequency depends on goals, severity of fluid retention, and medical considerations; your therapist will create a personalized plan after assessment.

Arrive well-hydrated, avoid heavy meals immediately before the appointment, and wear comfortable clothing. Bring any relevant medical information. Avoid alcohol and intense exercise for 24 hours prior. Expect to be draped; communication about pressure and comfort is encouraged throughout.
